Community Garden Compost Giveaway
Community gardens are a visible sign of a commitment to improving green space and community aesthetics. ReWorks would like to recognize this commitment by offering a chance for these community gardens to receive free compost. This is a unique opportunity to both enrich the soil and support the practice of composting.
In an effort to divert non-edible food waste from local landfills, ReWorks is working towards connecting generators of food waste, (e.g. vegetables, fruits, coffee grounds, egg shells, etc., excluding meat) that can be donated to community gardens to be composted. This is one small, but potentially impactful, way we can encourage environmentally sound composting while improving soil quality within community gardens.
