Asbestos* will be accepted at the Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center (HHWRC) if you are a Summit County resident and this material is coming directly from your household.

The HHWRC is located at 1201 Graham Road in Stow at the Rt. 8 Overpass. For hours, directions, and list of acceptable items please visit the HHWRC page here.

Warning: During its removal, asbestos particles may be released into the air. The particles are so small that you can't see them, and they can cause serious health problems if you breathe them in, including a lung disease called asbestosis, which may not develop until several years after exposure. 

Before the HHWRC will accept asbestos it must be wetted, double-bagged, sealed, and less than 3ft long/wide.
